LAKE PARK HIGH SCHOOL
In December 11 of 2011, Lake Park High School began operating its own solar station. The installation was provided by Renewable Energy Alternatives and Solar Star Foundation, and it is primarily used as a teaching tool. Students study data outputs, and also showcase what they’ve learned at community-based events. Lake Park High School students participate in outreach events, and help the community understand how solar energy works. Having students learn about solar energy at such a young age is both an example to their peers and members of the community of what clean energy in action is all about. Lake Park High School is incorporating solar studies into a number of classes across various disciplines.
